NOVA Intergalactic
Historical Timeline

A brilliant team of scientists saw the potential of newly developed terraforming technology. They created Core Ltd with the first project; assisting the governments of the world terraforming Mars.

The Mars Tragedy kills 4,876 workers during the final terraforming stage of Mars. As one of the only companies with starships in orbit around Earth at that moment, Core Ltd, was quickly contacted by the International Committee of the Red Cross, requesting their fleet to assist in rescue efforts at the Mars colonies.
After a successful rescue of the colonies, Core Ltd and the Red Cross agree to merge as one commercial mega-company. Core Ltd saw an opportunity to have first aid expertise to assist them in their efforts of colonisation, which had grown considerably over the past years, while the Red Cross saw the need and opportunity to bring aid and assistance to the outer colonies in the SOL system. Thus, NOVA was founded, with two subsidiary branches: Core and Relief.
After the release of the first commercially available starship “Zeus”, NOVA acquired two: the NF-1701 Archangel for Relief, NF-345 William for Core. Their twin purpose was to survey the wider SOL system and render assistance to the many distant starships in their times of need.
Abeni Okon, the first extra-terrestrial human, is born at the Port Renatus, NOVA Relief’s medical infirmary on Mars.
With the development of the new RSI’s quantum engine, the entire “SOL” system becomes reachable and a new branch is added to NOVA to help in its exploration: NOVA Frontiers.
Whilst searching the Neso triangle for the starship Goodman which vanished transiting the area, the ageing NF-1701 Archangel is lost with all hands. The UPE government declares the Neso triangle a no fly zone and prohibits all ships from entering the area.
A small unofficial and highly classified sub-branch for on-board security is added to all NOVA ships due to the increasing numbers of transports disappearing in the vicinity of the Neso Triangle. The mystery deepens
The reason for the many disappearing ships is found, Nick Croshaw discovers the first jump point within the Neso triangle.
Further funding is directed to the Frontiers branch, as a new age of exploring uncharted systems has begun. Frontiers is now at the forefront to help humanity discover new systems beyond our own.
A century of vast prosperity. Humanity explores and finds an increasing number of new systems and jump points. NOVA Core helps in building new settlements and assists in extracting new wealth from the newly discovered worlds. NOVA Frontiers seeks out and explores new jump points, while many discoveries are made in the new systems.
Humanity makes first contact with its first alien species in the Davien system: the Banu.
After the success of General Neal Socolovich in negotiating the first intergalactic peace and trade treaty, NOVA saw the potential in having a dedicated diplomacy branch to reach out with this new Species. NOVA Skyline was created
Through expansions and terraforming, greater numbers of citizens left the overcrowded Earth. NOVA uprooted it’s headquarters, and moved to the newly terraformed moon in the [REDACTED] system with NOVA Core’s logistical expertise.
To emphasise the corporate relocation away from humanities cradle on the Earth, NOVA is rebranded into NOVA Intergalactic.
The thriving colony on [REDACTED] developed by NOVA Intergalactic gets completely destroyed from an orbital bombardment by the Tevarin during the beginning of the First Teravin War. NOVA had no other choice but to retreat to Terra III in the Terra System.
After the loss of [REDACTED], NOVA Defence is created as the first NOVA military force able to protect NOVA’s assets.
NOVA Defence deploys to several NOVA outposts to defend them from the actions of the Teravin. Defence is highly successful repelling these attacks, this success is observed and noted by the UPE (United Planets of Earth).
NOVA Defence further deploys to defend several NOVA outposts from the ongoing attacks of the Teravin. Fortunately, they were highly successful in repelling the attacks and the actions continued to impress the UPE. The UPE decided to employ NOVA military’s forces for “Operation Nemesis”: A massive multi-disciplinary operation to claim back Idris IV from the Tevarin. The stakes were high, success in this operation gave NOVA the rights to acquire UPE’s cruisers as a reward for their services; newly introduced ships such as the Idris and Javelin.
NOVA Intergalactic begins to pull back on engagement with the UEE, because of the extreme xenophobia of Ivar Messer and his ‘Humanity First’ agenda.
The Second Tevarin War breaks out, but NOVA relies upon itself, not the UEE to defend their assets. NOVA sends Relief on innumerable humanitarian missions to help and assist the uncounted victims of the war.
A pirate spy is discovered in the Admiralty of NOVA Intergalactic, [REDACTED] is sent to take care of the situation. Subsequently the Admiral is found in the Pirate stronghold, however a short while later, a bright light is seen at the location at the stronghold… [MESSAGE GARBLED> END OF TRANSMISSION]
